This policy describes how Manga Horizon collects, uses, and protects your personal data, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR - EU 2016/679) and the "Informatique et Libertés" law.

Data Collected

  • Identity and contact data: last name, first name, email, phone, billing and delivery addresses;
  • Order data: purchased products, amount, history;
  • Payment data: securely processed by our payment providers (the Seller does not store your bank details);
  • Navigation data: IP address, cookies, pages viewed (see the Cookie Policy).

Purposes and Legal Bases

  • Processing and tracking orders (contract performance);
  • Customer service and returns management (contract performance);
  • Sending marketing emails (consent, revocable at any time);
  • Audience measurement and traffic statistics (consent);
  • Personalized advertising and measurement of our advertising campaigns on third-party platforms, particularly Facebook and Instagram (consent, revocable at any time);
  • Fraud prevention and legal and accounting obligations (legitimate interest / legal obligation).

Data Recipients

Your data is intended for Manga Horizon and its subcontractors strictly necessary for the performance of the service: hosting provider and e-commerce platform (Shopify), payment providers, carriers and suppliers ensuring order shipment, parcel tracking and customer review collection solutions, as well as — subject to your consent — the advertising networks Meta Platforms Ireland Limited (Facebook, Instagram) and Google Ireland Limited. Some providers may be located outside the European Union; in this case, appropriate safeguards (standard contractual clauses) are implemented.

Personalized Advertising and Social Networks

If you consent via the cookie banner, we use advertising measurement tools provided by third-party platforms:

  • Meta Pixel (Facebook, Instagram): a tracker placed on your browser that records certain actions performed on the site (viewing a product page, adding to cart, purchase) to measure the effectiveness of our ads and provide you with relevant advertisements.
  • Meta Conversions API: in addition to the pixel, some of this information is transmitted directly from our servers to Meta's. This transfer is subject to the same consent as the pixel.
  • Advanced Matching: when activated, your email address and, where applicable, your phone number are transmitted to Meta in a hashed (one-way encrypted) form, to link an order to the correct person. Meta never receives this information in clear text.
  • Google Tools: audience measurement and tracking of our campaigns, under the same consent terms.

These processing operations are based exclusively on your consent, which you can refuse from your first visit or withdraw at any time without affecting your browsing or your orders. None of these trackers are activated before you have accepted them.

These platforms act as independent data controllers for the data they receive. Their practices are described in Meta's privacy policy and Google's. You can also configure the use of your advertising data from the "Off-Facebook activity" settings of your Meta account.

Transfers outside the European Union

Some of our providers (including Meta, Google, and Shopify) may process data outside the European Union, particularly in the United States. These transfers are governed by appropriate safeguards: standard contractual clauses of the European Commission and, where applicable, certification under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

Retention Period

Data is retained for the time necessary for the purposes pursued, then archived in accordance with legal deadlines (including 10 years for accounting documents). Marketing data is retained until you withdraw your consent, and for a maximum of 3 years after the last contact.

Your Rights

In accordance with the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to, restrict, and portability of your data, as well as the right to define directives concerning their fate after your death. Manga Horizon implements appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data against unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure.
