The fox behind the child
Naruto occupies the top of the scroll, mouth open in a shout, his cheek marks widened. Behind and below him, the silhouette of the nine-tailed fox unfolds in brown and red ink wash across the entire bottom half.
It is the only visual in the set to superimpose two figures, and the vertical format serves this purpose perfectly: the character at the top, the beast at the bottom, connected by the same flow of ink. A large format does it much better justice than a small one.
