Seated, three-quarter view
Frieren is seated, turned at a three-quarter angle, with her white, gold-trimmed cape draped behind her. The background is nocturnal, a deep blue scattered with bright sparkles, and the light comes from the left, which sharply defines her profile.
It is a diagonal composition, more unusual than the standing portraits in the collection. She occupies the width of the scroll instead of following its axis, which creates a more compact and intimate image. The starry background clearly places her in a night scene.
