Frieren Wall Scrolls

A wall scroll is not a poster. It is a flexible canvas mounted between two wooden rods, which can be hung on a nail and taken down in two seconds. No frame to buy, no glass to break: the scroll arrives assembled, cord included, and hangs straight on its own because the bottom rod acts as a counterweight.

Two characters, two styles

This collection is divided between Frieren and her apprentice Fern. The elf occupies seventeen scrolls: front-facing portraits, close-up profiles, soaring beneath petals, and a scene featuring Himmel in the background behind her. Fern's eight visuals form a tighter and darker set—the purple cape, the magic circle, the black coat—with a summer breath of fresh air in the middle.

Three sizes, three uses

The 25 × 75 cm fits in a hallway, on a door frame, or between two shelves. The 30 × 90 cm is the perfect size for a bedroom, above a desk or a headboard. The 40 × 120 cm requires a clear wall and two to three meters of distance: this is where the portraits reach almost life-size.

What you need to know before hanging

The canvas is matte: it does not reflect ceiling lights or windows, unlike a glass-framed print. It arrives rolled and takes twenty-four to forty-eight hours to lose its shipping creases simply by hanging. A dry cloth now and then is enough, and it is best to avoid direct sunlight for several hours a day.

The visuals in this series are mostly light—lots of white, pale blue, and pink. They look better on a dark or colored wall than on a white wall, where they risk blending in. Three 25 × 75 cm scrolls spaced about ten centimeters apart form a coherent frieze over one meter of wall.
