The Blue-Eyed Shikigami

No character on this one: an open hand at the bottom of the scroll, and above it a shadow form bristling with five or six blue eyes glowing in the dark. The rest is almost entirely dark, with a few flashes of cold light on the edges.

It is the most abstract visual in the selection, and the only one that does not show a human face. It functions as a graphic piece: from afar, a black mass pierced with blue dots; up close, a creature. For those who love the series but prefer a decoration that doesn't scream a character's name, it is the obvious choice. It also goes very well with a wall already occupied by other illustrations, because it does not compete with any portraits.

No, and that is often the selling point: it reads as a fantasy illustration. Those who know the universe make the connection; others see a beautiful image.

Do the eyes stand out in a dark room?

They are printed in light blues on a very dark background, so yes, they remain the brightest point even in low light. There is, however, no phosphorescent ink.
