Toji Fushiguro and the blade
Bare-chested, bandage around his waist, one hand bringing a blade over his shoulder: the posture tells you everything about this character before you even see his face, framed in profile, the scar clearly visible at the corner of his mouth.
The rendering of the musculature is the real achievement of this illustration — work with shadows and bluish highlights that creates volume without ever hardening the lines. The palette is cold, almost monochrome, which lets the blade stand out as the only sharp element.
