A blue dragon, and the whole gang clinging to it

The title says it all: it's a 1987 calendar illustration, reproduced as is. Shenron, drawn in light blue instead of green, coils up the entire height; Kid Goku rides him, and Bulma, Krillin, Oolong, and Puar cling wherever they can.

The colors are pale, almost watercolor-like, a far cry from today's saturations. It's a collector's item before being a decoration, and the printed date is part of its charm.

Why is Shenron blue?
The first colorizations of the series did not always depict him in green. This 1987 illustration retains this original hue.
