The story behind the design

This case belongs to a series of nine dedicated to Goku's transformations. The same tight framing of the face, the same layout — only the form and its color change. Placed side by side, the nine tell forty years of the series' story.

Super Saiyan 4 is the only major transformation that belongs neither to Dragon Ball Z nor to Super: it comes from Dragon Ball GT, and the logo printed on the case reminds us of that. It is also the only one that refers to the appearance of a monkey rather than light.

Long black hair, yellow irises, red fur on the torso: three markers that no other form shares. The vibrant red background extends the fur to the edges of the frame.
