The story behind the design

This case belongs to a series of nine dedicated to Goku's transformations. The same tight framing on the face, the same layout—only the shape and its color change. Placed side by side, the nine tell forty years of the series.

The Super Saiyan God is the form that reopened the series after years: a transformation obtained not by rage but by ritual, and whose color breaks with the yellow established for decades.

Red on red: hair, eyes, and background share the same chromatic family. It's a risky choice that works because the black outline of the drawing clearly separates the planes.
