The story behind the design

This case is part of a series of nine, one for each member of the Straw Hat Crew. Same layout, same frame, same typography — only the character and its color change. This is what makes it more than just an isolated visual: a collection.

Franky is the ship's carpenter, and a cyborg he modified himself. He is the most eccentric character of the crew visually — the saturated purple of this variation suits him better than a subtle color.

He appears twice, in two different poses, and his short name is written in large vertical capitals along the edge. The stars at the corners complete the composition.
