Before becoming Upper Rank Three, Akaza was called Hakuji: a young man who stole to treat his father, then learned martial arts from a master whose daughter, Koyuki, he was supposed to marry. Their poisoning by a rival clan shattered everything, and it is this erased memory that resurfaces upon his death in Demon Slayer. This diorama captures the moment of happiness that precedes the tragedy — one of the most heartbreaking flashbacks in the series.
