The story behind the figure
Hunger is a permanent comedic device in One Piece. Luffy empties the Sunny's provisions in one night, Zoro demands alcohol before he even knows where he is, and Sanji — who experienced famine on a desert rock with Zeff — is the only one who truly understands what a plate represents. This screaming trio revives this gag mechanism, with the three hungriest members of the crew united in the same pose. The three planks assemble to form a section of the deck.
