The story behind the figure
Blackbeard was a simple member of the second fleet, under Ace's command. The day he assassinated a comrade to steal his Devil Fruit and fled, Ace demanded to pursue him himself – against his captain's advice. The ensuing duel not only decided a battle: it triggered the chain of events that would lead to the Summit War. This diorama freezes the two men just before the confrontation, one standing on the stone, the other already dissolved in his shadow.
