The horizontal katana
Sasuke is shown in profile, with the blade held horizontally in front of him, spanning the entire width of the scroll. The ink wash is very light, almost white, and only the red eye stands out.
The composition is based on a cross: the vertical of the character, the horizontal of the blade. This is a rare construction for such a narrow format, and it is what makes this visual more composed than the other action scenes in the collection.
