The story behind the figure
The Kamado house is the setting for the series' first chapter and its darkest night. Placing Nezuko there, the sole survivor alongside her brother, is like freezing the moment before: the charcoal smoke, the sleeping children, the rising snow. The bamboo gag she wears was placed there by Giyu, for lack of a better option, and it has never left her since.

Why the bamboo gag?
Giyu Tomioka put it on her the first night to stop her from biting. Nezuko kept it ever since: it is the sign that she is restraining herself, and the detail by which she is recognized in a second.
What is this figure made of?
Entirely of painted PVC, including the base. This is the material used for collectibles: it holds fine details without being as brittle as resin.
