The story behind the figure

Sasori of the Red Sand transformed his own body into a puppet to stop aging: he kept only a living heart inside a cylinder. His obsession with eternity stems from the death of his parents, whom he tried to recreate as dolls to reclaim their embrace. Hiruko, the hunched shell in which he travels, is only the first of the three hundred puppets he drags behind him.

What is Hiruko?
The hunched puppet in which Sasori constantly travels: an armored shell with a poisoned scorpion tail. It is only the first of more than three hundred puppets — and the only one most of his opponents ever see.

Yes. PVC bends where resin would break: the Sasori figure can withstand normal handling. Only the thinnest parts require caution.
