Nobara is running down the street, and behind her, Shibuya flashes by in blurred signs: red, green, white. The background is treated with motion blur, the character in focus — a photographic technique applied to drawing, which works very well here.

This is one of the few wall scrolls in the series where the background tells as much of a story as the character. The neon lights provide a warm palette of orange and red that contrasts with the dominant blues of the rest of the collection. Nobara looks genuine, smiling, and in motion: nothing like a posed shot.
