The story behind the design

Most visuals of Ace show him in the middle of an attack. This one shows him introducing himself: a stable posture, arm brought in front of his torso, the tattoo turned toward the viewer. It's not a combat pose; it's a pose of identity.

The forearm tattoo is actually the only element the illustration takes care to make perfectly legible—sharp letters, arm placed in the center of the frame, flames spread around it. Everything else can be blurred, but not that.

The background blends two registers: black and white panels in the upper part, and colorful fire in the lower part. This gradual shift from paper to flame is what gives the image its depth—without it, it would just be a character cutout.
