The story behind the design

This is the only one of our Ace visuals that takes the time to showcase the character rather than his power. No combat pose, no burst of fire consuming the image: just a bust, a gaze, and a flame held in one hand.

Consequently, the attributes carry everything, and they are all there: the orange hat with two medallions, the red bead necklace finished with a skull medallion, the ornate belt buckle, the dagger tucked into his back. Any One Piece reader will recognize every one of these items.

The background deserves a mention: it isn't plain. You can make out posted flyers and wooden structures, bathed in warm light. That is what gives depth to such tight framing — without it, the character would appear to float.

Is the face clearly visible in person?
Yes, that is the point of this framing: the bust occupies the upper half of the case. In our other Ace visuals, the character is full-body, and the face is significantly smaller.

What is the difference compared to your other cases?
This one is more rigid: a polycarbonate back and a flexible TPU border, whereas our frosted cases are entirely flexible. It holds its shape better and shows fewer marks.
