The hair is everything: bright yellow at the root, red at the tips, standing up like a fire. Beneath it, the back, the haori, and the white kanji; above it, a thin blade rising straight towards the top rod, cutting the image in half.

This is the brightest visual in the back series. The yellow barely takes up a fifth of the surface but it commands everything else, and on a wall it acts like a lamp: the eye goes to it before going anywhere else. Hang it alone rather than amidst other scrolls, which it would tend to overshadow.
