Tengen Uzui and the broad blade
White hair pulled back, exposed nape, and above all, that blade as broad as a cleaver resting across his shoulder — a weapon no other character in the series carries. The haori covers the entire lower part of the scroll, and the kanji spreads across two square meters of painted fabric.
The composition is built on a diagonal: the blade ascends from left to right and extends beyond the frame, giving the vertical format a tension that a static subject would lack. The whites of the hair and blade are the only bright areas; everything else is rendered in dark browns. A massive visual, best reserved for an uncluttered wall.
