Why Inosuke fights with damaged blades

Raised by boars in the mountains, Inosuke never learned to respect a sharp edge. He strikes rocks with his two Nichirin swords to deliberately chip them: the resulting teeth tear instead of cut, giving the Beast Breathing its brutality. Where Tanjiro seeks the perfect line, Inosuke seeks the bite. His weapon thus tells the story of his entire character — a fighter who learned everything himself, without a master or a manual.
