This replica of Shinobu Kocho's katana, the Insect Hashira in Demon Slayer, measures a total of 104 cm. The story behind the blade

Shinobu Kocho is the only Hashira unable to decapitate a demon: she lacks the strength. So she changed the rules. Her blade is no longer a sword but a stinger, and what it injects is concentrated wisteria — the deadly poison for demons — in doses capable of killing without a single cut. Beneath her permanent smile and light step, there is a chemist who turned her weakness into a weapon, and a sister who never forgave.

Why is Shinobu Kocho's blade different?
Shinobu Kocho does not have the physical strength to decapitate a demon, which is the only conventional way to kill them. Her Nichirin blade was therefore forged as a stinger, with a fine point and a mechanism that injects wisteria poison. It is the only weapon of its kind in Demon Slayer.

Is this katana replica sharp?
No. The blade is made of soft PU foam and is not sharpened: it bends under pressure instead of cutting. This makes it safe for use at conventions and photoshoots without the risk of damaging a costume or a hand.

Is the display stand included?
No: the black wooden stand visible in the staged photos is only used to show the blade horizontally. It is not included. Our katana stands and display cases are sold separately.

Does the katana come in a box?
It is shipped in a protective bag, without a publisher's box, and over-packaged by us for transport. The 104 cm length requires a long package: please arrange to be present for delivery.

Where can I display a 104 cm katana?
A 104 cm replica requires a clear wall or shelf: placed horizontally on a stand, with the edge facing upwards as is customary in Japan. Avoid direct sunlight, which can fade the scabbard's paint.

What is the recommended age?
We recommend it for ages 14 and up. The blade is made of foam and has no sharp edge, but its 104 cm length makes it a bulky item, intended for collection and cosplay rather than play.
