What are all the Demon Slayer katanas?
In Demon Slayer, each slayer carries a Nichirin blade whose color appears upon first contact with its wielder and reveals their breathing style. Here are the ten we offer as replicas:

What is the name of Tanjiro's katana?
Unlike the swords in One Piece, Nichirin blades do not have proper names: they are referred to by their wielder and their color. Tanjiro Kamado's is therefore simply his black Nichirin — a hue so rare that slayers consider it a bad omen, as no Hashira has ever carried one. The manga suggests it is linked to Sun Breathing, the first of all breathing styles.
Who makes Tanjiro's katana?
Haganezuka, a blacksmith from the hidden Swordsmith Village, whose face is never seen beneath his hyottoko mask. He is the one who forges Tanjiro's blade, the one who collapses upon seeing it turn black, and the one who tirelessly repairs it every time it breaks. Nichirin blades are carved from ore extracted from mountains exposed to the sun year-round — hence their effectiveness against demons.
Is it legal to own a katana?
The question does not apply to our replicas: none are sharpened. Our blades are made of soft PU foam or bamboo wood, with no cutting edge or tip: they are decorative and cosplay items, not bladed weapons.
A bit of common sense, nonetheless: when going to a convention or a photoshoot, carry the piece in a case or a closed bag. A one-meter dummy blade carried by hand in the street draws unwanted attention, and most conventions require it at the entrance.
PU foam or wood: which to choose?
- PU foam (most of our blades): light, flexible, it bends under pressure instead of resisting. This is the choice for cosplay — no risk of damaging a costume or injuring someone in a crowd.
- Bamboo wood (Obanai and Rukia): heavier, more rigid, with a real weight in the hand and a more noble appearance in a display case. The choice for display.

Where to display a 104 cm katana?
Horizontally, with the cutting edge facing up as per Japanese custom, on a wall or a clear shelf. No stand is included with our blades — photos showing them in a setting are for illustrative purposes. Our katana stands and displays are sold separately.
