The story behind the blade

Obanai Iguro wears a bandage over half his face and a white snake, Kaburamaru, around his neck — it sees for him. Imprisoned as a child by his own family to be offered to a demon, he only survived because a cousin freed him, paying with her life. His undulating blade, forged to match a serpentine fighting style that strikes from impossible angles, mirrors him: nothing about him goes in a straight line.

Why is Obanai Iguro's blade undulating?
Obanai Iguro's Nichirin blade is undulating to match his style, the Serpent Breathing, which involves sinuous strikes that bypass the opponent's guard. It is the only blade of this shape among the nine Hashira in Demon Slayer.

Is this replica made of wood?
Yes. Unlike our PU foam replicas, this one is carved from bamboo wood, including the blade and scabbard. It is therefore heavier and more rigid — but it remains unsharpened and intended for display.

Is this replica sharp?
No. The blade is made of solid bamboo wood and is not sharpened. It is a decorative and cosplay item, not a bladed weapon.

Is the display stand included?
No: the black wooden stand visible in the staged photos is only used to show the blade horizontally. It is not supplied. Our katana stands and displays are sold separately.

Does it come in a box?
No: shipped in protective packaging, without a publisher's box, over-packaged by us. Expect a long package.

What is the recommended age?
